Self Isolation
Those who have COVID MUST isolate for 7 days. Students can return after displaying no symptoms on day 7. If your child is a household contact only they must also isolate for 7 days. Some maybe wondering if your child must stay at home after 7 days if another person in your household becomes positive. Ministry recommendations are that anyone with symptoms remain at home until they are symptom free for at least 48 hours.
Please be assured that the current measures in place (masks, physical distancing and ventilation of rooms) in schools continue to provide high levels of protection from infection in a school environment.
Positive test results
If your child tests positive, please let us know as soon as possible, so we can inform close contacts. While there is currently only one positive case among children, there are a number of household contacts in the school community. We ask that you are extra vigilant with the usual precautions (mask wearing, social distancing, hand washing etc). If you are in doubt whether you or your child has COVID, please get a RAT test.
