Vaccination is the leading public health prevention strategy in managing the COVID-19 pandemic.
Promoting vaccination can help schools reduce the risks of outbreaks and potential school closure. All whānau and eligible students in each school should be strongly encouraged to get vaccinated.
On 11 October 2021 Government announced that all primary and intermediate school and kura staff will need to have had a first vaccination by 15 November 2021 and to be fully vaccinated by 1 January 2022.
